California Doodle Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Huntington Beach, CA — and the only rescue in the state dedicated exclusively to Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Aussiedoodles, Bernedoodles, Sheepadoodles, Pyredoodles, and doodle mixes.
Founded in 2022, we've grown from a passionate idea into a statewide network that has rescued more than 2,800 dogs, placed them in loving permanent homes, and invested over $460,000 in veterinary care in 2025 alone.
We don't just find doodles a roof — we find them the right family. Our rigorous matching process includes phone interviews, reference and vet checks, and in-person meet-and-greets for every member of the household, including your other pets.

In 2025 alone, California Doodle Rescue invested more than $460,000 in veterinary care for dogs in our program — from routine wellness visits to complex surgeries for specially-abled dogs that other rescues turn away.
